New Ferolle is located 11 kilometers from Reef's Harbour junction, on Route 430. This area separates St. Margaret's Bay from St. John Bay and across the bay there is a great view of the Long Range Mountains. This enables New Ferolle to present the beauty of the region's coastline and mountain chain at the same time.
New Ferolle is also well known for its lighthouse which was built in 1912. The lighthouse was operated by the Beaudoin family of New Ferolle for three generations, until the lighthouse became automated in June 1992. At this time the tradition of the lighthouse keeper was lost, like many other lighthouses in Newfoundland and Canada. But, it remains in service and visitors to the lighthouse will enjoy an incredible view of the Gulf of St. Lawrence.
