Having been born in India and raised in Newfoundland, I feel very fortunate to have had the opportunity to be immersed into such diversity of cultures, religions and traditions
and oh don't let me forget climates!!
We moved to Newfoundland when I was very young and lived in various rural areas around the province. I started at Memorial University in Corner Brook in 1984, where I met a multitude of friends from the Northern Peninsula, one of whom eventually became my husband! We initially explored career options in western Canada for a few years, however sooner or later we felt the lure of the "Good Ole Rock" beckoning us back home. Plum Point has been our home ever since. It is a wonderful place to raise kids. I really enjoy the community oriented atmosphere; "Your neighbours become your close friends or the same as family". I am very happy we have built our life here on the Northern Peninsula, and we are here to stay!
