Services for Children and Youth
There are many resources and recreational opportunities for children and youth located throughout the region. Family Resource Centres provide support and playgroup activities for pre-school aged children and parents. Community Youth Network sites offer drop-in Youth Centres and programs for youth aged 12-18. Many communities have organized summer recreation programs. The Junior Canadian Rangers Program provides a structured youth program promoting traditional culture and lifestyle in remote communities of Canada. Sports activities for youth include school organized sports, swimming, minor hockey, skiing, and much more. You can see more of our recreational activities in our Photo Gallery.
