Eddie's Cove West is a quaint fishing village in the vicinity of St. John's Bay in the northern area of Economic Zone 7. Visitors to the area can enjoy walks along the shoreline and viewing wildlife.

Community and business services for Eddies Cove West includes a K-12 school, French Shore Academy and a public library with public internet access – Community Access Centre (18 kms south in Port Saunders). Health care is provided for the community and region at the Rufus Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders. In addition, recreational, community and business services are found in the near by towns of Hawkes Bay, Port Saunders and Port au Choix. A number of fishing enterprises work out of Eddies Cove West and their fishing stores/sheds are located along the community's shoreline.
